Chessie's BIG Backyard at Lee District Park
Help from the entire community is needed to create a truly special place for local families and children, including individuals with special needs. Chessie's BIG Backyard enhances the unique Family Recreation Area's Our Special Harbor and Treehouse opened in 2011.

- A treehouse-themed playground will incorporate slides, swings and other equipment specially designed for use by all children, including those with special needs.
- The Carousel with old-fashioned charm will be thoroughly modern in design and fully accessible.
- A family picnic area with covered shelters will offer a place to take a break from the action to enjoy a picnic.
