Mr. Zamora is the Vice President, Senior Business Banker at First Virginia Community Bank. He has more than 12 years of Senior Banking leadership and management through his tenures at Wachovia, First Horizon and M&T banks.
Mr. Zamora is an active leader and volunteer who shares his time, energy and talent both at the local level and via global outreach. He serves on the board of directors of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, on the advisory board for both the local Hub Theatre and the National Pan Pacific American leaders. He is also on the executive team/co-chair of the Vietnamese American National Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Zamora invests his leadership at all levels of community partnerships. He specializes in serving the community as an advisory committee member for the Fairfax County Government consolidated funding pool. He considers himself to be a bridge of support as an active citizen and advocate for the good work being done by nonprofits. Morris has served for many years in his neighborhood lending financial expertise to his homeowners association on the budget and finance committee.
Mr. Zamora's family includes his wife Sherry, a sitting Administrative Judge for the Federal government, daughter Christina and son David who have been adopted from Guatemala. He has a passion for leading and mentoring emerging leaders in various philanthropic endeavors. Morris has led large teams of young adults on annual trips to Guatemala to accomplish philanthropic work in orphanages and to provide hands on construction activities in a remote Mayan village. Mr. Zamora leads groups of people to do volunteer work for the International program Stop Hunger Now that distributes packaged foods to other countries in crisis through their school relief programs.
Mr. Zamora has a history of successful leadership in fund raising. He brings a large and diverse portfolio to assist him in the nonprofit and civic endeavors that he is associated with in the community. Mr. Zamora was recently honored by the selection among many high caliber leaders to the Leadership Fairfax signature class of 2012.
